While Hua Hin still remains a royal and high society favorite, this traditional Thai resort has developed over recent years, combining the attractions of a modern holiday destination with local charm. Unlike some of Thailand's other resorts, Hua Hin has avoided the hectic development based largely on tourist dollars and the town still has a flourishing fishing port and maintains an old world charm. It is a true Jack Nicklaus masterpiece. A championship course with five sets of tees to play from, the course offers varying degrees of difficulty that accentuate the dramatic lush landscape. A most pleasant course by Max Waxler with good use of rocks and flowers to decorate holes that mostly follow the natural terrain spilling down from wooded hills behind. 18 holes 6373 yards. Par 72. 25 minutes north up the coast road from central Hua Hin. Very imaginative and challenging 27 holes of golf by Roger Packard. Rolling mounds large greens lakes and palms. 18 holes 6915 yards. Hotels near Imperial Lake View Golf Club The Majestic Creek Country Club 25 minutes drive directly inland on Huay Mongkil Road from Hua Hin town backing up to low hills. Plenty of streams and water hazards on this rolling challenging but well-maintained course. 18 holes 6961 yards. Par 72. Pro shop driving range putting green. Hotels near Majestic Creek Country Club Royal Hua Hin Golf Course In the centre of Hua Hin town, right by the railway station. Built in 1922 this is the oldest +proper' golf course in the Kingdom. Hotels near Royal Hua Hin Golf Course Hua Hin Milford International Golf Course Designer Robert McFarland has used one of the most interesting sites in Thailand to good effect. The course is surrounded on three sides by forested hills. From the clubhouse, panoramic sea views give the course a 'links' atmosphere. Hotels near Milford International Golf Course  Kaeng Krachan Country Club The first thing that strikes one when going to Kaeng Krachan is that the course is more than 15 kms from the entrance. Tanarat Golf Club, RTA, Pranburi  The Thanarat golf course has been designed by Col. Pin from the Royal Thai Army and was opened back in 1974. This 18-hole, par-72 course (6,726 yds) has been brought forward as a sensible budget alternative for mainly two reasons: its green fee is low compared to other courses (green fee 400 THB in 2009), and its location is not far from some lovely beach areas. The golf course offers good service and its staff is very helpful. Thanarat has received some criticism due to somewhat sluggish greens as well as insufficient course maintenance (no watering). Royal Rachaburi Golf Club A dream course! Situated right in the center of the triangle Bangkok - Kanchanaburi - Hua Hin, ideal to play during a tour to River Kwai or from Kanchanaburi to Hua Hin.
